Slow but great morning!

Lots of people, not many ducks. Only shot five but the last bird made the morning a little better. Grew up pounding wood ducks in La as a kid back when you didnt stop shooting a roost until you were out of shells. Hard to imagine how many we killed but this is my first one with a band. Pretty good time amongst friends with hot kolaches and cold BLs.

Warden said the first 10 boats to pull out this morning had a total of 0 birds.

And air boats. Don't forget the cool guys that come up from the coast, dreaming of killing a mallard, only to run off every bird in the county before the first shot is fired.
