To Bad Dove Season is Over

The fields are COVERED in Doves. Maybe more than I've ever seen. I could sit in my front yard and kill a limit in 10-15 minutes. Oh well, was a great season. Looks like a lot are left for next year. The pic down my driveway, look on the fence ans in the sunflowers.
Go forth and prosper doves.

Let's hope for another good season next year, just need Mother Nature to give those sunflowers a drink every now and then.

As soon as it dries I'll be mowing the sunflowers down. Fertilizer about the first of February then spend the rest of the month chisel plowing and discing. Then praying for good spring and summer rains.

Same here... didn't see much of anything during the first part... hopefully can get a few on Dec 18th.

I second that. Im hoping to close out the year with a bang.

I love that season. It's like the "I got a new shotgun for Christmas and dangit I wanna shoot something" season.

I got some pics from Sunday mornings of them sitting on power lines. I'll post a couple up when I get home.

We didn't do so hot down here in Matagorda County. Was actually pretty bad.

Looks like all the ones I missed. Let me know if there are any late season openings.
