The Maiden Voyage

Posted By: BradyBuck

The Maiden Voyage - 10/10/15 05:41 PM

The launching of the ducktoon went much smoother than expected. We were able to find a spot where we could back it in with the truck and push it off the trailer. We also jumped several hundred maybe a thousand ducks off when we drove up and about 75% were BWT.

Video of some teal from the blind.

Front end looks low because our heavy duty anchors are all sitting in the front.

Couldn't open the video

Re: The Maiden Voyage - 10/10/15 06:01 PM

Did it say it was private?

I think I fixed it. It's just a short video of some BWT flying by.

Still private

Ducktoon looks great!

We were joking as we drove it through a little town near there that the residence were probably wondering who was moving in. LOL

Can't figure out why the video won't work. I changed the privacy settings but it still seems to be set to "private". I've never tried uploading to YouTube before. It's just a 7 second video of some teal flying by the blind.

No hiding that monstrosity!

If all else fails maybe it will scare all the ducks out of the middle of the lake.

You could screw concrete re mesh all over it to be able to cover up

Re: The Maiden Voyage - 10/12/15 08:28 PM

I would cover it with the feathers of a mother hen.

Leave it like it is, no doubt it will work, post up a bunch of kill photos when season starts and show everyone just how easy it is to pound the ducks on that private pond.
Looks like a good place to pass some time, enjoy it.

That's a public lake. I don't mind sharing my blind with a bunch of strangers. I figure the wild ducks that fly into the zoo every year are just as wild as the ducks on the lake. They'll get used to it.
