Dove Mojo Spread

I typically dove hunt with 2 or 3 mojos and have fiddled around with different spreads - wondering if anyone has had any particular luck with a certain number or pattern? Probably doesn't matter that much but figured I'd ask. I typically just point them into the wind in a V shape (if I use three) about 10 or so feet apart. Don't really have any other considerations in mind. What say you?

I do a lot of hunts solo out West. All mourning dove. I hunt with 1 mojo and I find you don't need a spread or multiple mojo's. You may be waisting batteries IMO.

I use 2 to 3 beginning of the season

I dont use any on opening week as there are enough hunters to sturr em around.

Down to 1 or none now, as i know from where they come into the field.

And it all depends in the kind of field u are in.

I have a couple of fields now, whrere its all pass shooting only, some other fields with sunflowers where they feed and its 1 mojo only

We've done several different tests over the years. Tried anywhere from 1 up to 5 Mojos. 2 seems to work best about 6 to 8 feet apart.

In my experience mojo are only needed when hunting is really slow. I've seen them stray off as many or more birds than they brought in, especially in high pressure fields. White wings pay little to no attention to the mojo.

I always use 2, point them into the wind like they are landing, I'll angle them where any direction you can see the spinner. I have not seen where more than 2 is better, so I do not mess with more than 2 any more.

I usually put still decoys on the ground, like the are feeding, and mojo simulates them landing into the other still deeks on the ground.

Seems like the mojos are most effective when there is not a lot of food around, like if you are hunting in a dirt field. Hunted one time in a dirt field with several other groups, we were the only ones with mojo, and we shot all the birds. Another time we set up in a all dirt field, and before we set up we saw the birds flying high over the field, on their way somewhere else, so we set up there hoping to pull them down. This hunt the mojos were the most effective I have ever seen. It was like birds knew where they want to go for food, but saw our spread, which simulated birds feeding on the ground, and they cupped up and came right in.

If you are in a field with a ton of food, don't think they are as effective. I also question how effective they are with ponds, late evening shooting. Birds are going to the pond to water or they are not, not sure mojo helps much.
