That has to be a whole lot to hold up out front.

The weight is only a little over 8 1/2 pounds. I expected more with those three barrels. That is around 2-3 lbs lighter than both my 10GA guns. It may be front heavy. I put the question to them of where the balance point is on the triple magnum and triple tom. I'll post the answer. My SXS and over under shotguns you would think would be front heavy from looking at them, but I think they all balance near the hinge.

It would be a fun gun to shoot either way.

That was fast.

"John,

Triple Magnum is right at the forend iron and the triple tom is an Inch above the forend iron."

Re: Triple Magnum - 08/08/15 05:04 AM

Went on a hunt today with it, and was lots of fun.
3 shots in under a second, as fast as you could pull the trigger. Grackels worst nightmare.
Got my chokes in today and used 3 black duck patternmastern. Also added a magnetic hi viz glo thingemagic on the barrel and bought an extra padding to the stock cause i have long arms i guess.
I will use this gun with 2 3/4 loads all year on ducks and pheasants, except for geese and cranes.
I love them chokes, they are pricey, but makes a cheap load feel like a 3 inch quality load.
Love them cheap herters for heavy volume shooting. I used 3 1/2 inch heavy shot dead coyote on them cranes last year and was able to knock down a few as far as 70-80 yards. Ridiculous!

Re: Triple Magnum - 08/09/15 05:50 AM

Does it feel balanced? Shouldered does it have the feel a side by side, over under, or like holding a sledge hammer?

Re: Triple Magnum - 08/10/15 03:54 AM

It does feel very balanced. Feels like a single barrel since thats all you see when you aim (the top barrel)
I had to buy an insert on the stock for less recoil and cause i have long arms
