A moderator should really take this photo down. Alcohol and firearms should never mix, and posting a picture like that online where it could influence young hunters to make the mistake of drinking while hunting is irresponsible and potentially dangerous.

Really? The internet is much smaller than you can imagine. That was taken in Freer on a 4000 acre property that I have hunted now for half my life. I am not only a customer but a close personal friend with the owner of the ranch. For you to post an assumption/possibility without knowing anything about the story is just making something out of nothing. We had a fine shoot, we were done, my wife and I had a couple of beers together. We picked up everything and headed for the house on a Polaris Ranger. No law broken, no ethics were even bent. If you hunted south Texas and there wasn't beer around, you a liar.

Nothing happened and no kids learned to get high and jump off of a roof top to his death because I was the one who introduced him to beer, a stair stepping gateway drug. I shouldn't have to explain anything to you but I did. I did because somebody has to stand up and say enough is enough. If the mods take it down there is nothing I can do about it. We shot our birds early while sitting on a tank dam. it was hot the beer was good and if I can enjoy a beer in America by God stick a bullet in me.

what really happened is I was tryiNg to that job called the most interesting man in the world who incidentally on TV every 15 minutes 24 hours a day 7 days a week promoting beer.the same kind of beer that I drank.

oh and thank you for the compliment on my weapons. I too am very fond of them.

If a picture is able to influence a person to underage drinking or someone to drink a cold beer I am not going to blame the picture I am going to blame the daddy who should have raised them better. Also after them asking a Mod to take the picture down it might be good to go sit by Wayne and get some advice that they missed growing up.

It makes me sad to see grown men defending drinking and hunting. You can call me a cry baby and poke fun all you want, the fact remains that drinking and handling a firearm is a very bad decision. I don't see this as a laughing matter. You are missing an opportunity to improve the hunting community and stand up against something very dangerous, and instead are perpetuating a problem that leads to avoidable deaths.

As far as the joking about having a beer while dove hunting.... Yes it is funny. That a grown man actually believes that a picture will influence someone. If they are that easily influenced then they should not be handling a firearm to begin with.

I do feel bad that you are sad. I think the Mods might need to delete your post because of you saying you are sad. It might send the wrong kinda message to younger hunters who read this forum Depressed people should not be handling firearms.
