All of our leases around Ellis and Navarro County are already showing good number of birds. Tons of wheat was left in the field cause the farmers couldn't harvest in time. Many farmers around here are also going back in and planting Milo on top of their wheat, this will be harvest probably the first week of September if weather cooperates.

Looking forward to a good year.

With all the food available, anyone think the birds will just be scattered, and tougher to hunt? Like ducks on high water years?

They were not able to plant any milo up in my country. Wheat will be ruined with the wet summer. I doubt we will have many birds. I'd say the sunflowers will be the ticket. Should congregate em good too.

With food and water being plentiful right now, they could be scattered around. With more storms being possible coming out of the gulf, it's anyone's guess. Haven't had a bad season in quite some time, couple months to go.

Mourning doves, can still pull off a couple of broods and white wings their second, so there should even be more come September.
