just tickles them a little.

I actually saw cattle wading in 6-8 inches of water with ducks swimming all around them a couple weeks ago. Just inches from their noses.

Nice picture though. I'd take that pond of ducks any day. At least it's not frozen..

Looks like almost 3 limits there, seems like plenty of ducks to me. Like my pops says, any flock bigger than 3 is just educating ducks.

It's too difficult to explain... better just tag along to make sure you do it right.

It is when most of them are 1 and 2 duck limits. But guess you don't get many cans and redheads. It's not cool to stomp ducks

You'll wanna start by finding the X.. There's no substitute for scouting. you gotta be where the birds wanna be. It's easy to miss the X and if you're even 100 yards off, you'll be watching birds all morning.

you'll need a baker's dozen decoys.. Avian X or Dakota X-treme. Fully flocked of course. 12 is too standard and by the time the ducks get down here, they'll recognize a dozen decoys and flare every time. Supplement your spread with 3-5 Mojo spinners, and a quiver.

Ditch your duck boat at least 200 yards away and imitate a tree. Hunting out of a duck boat is the best way to watch birds all day.

3.5in Black cloud BB shot is the only load that'll reach out there and knock them down. You'll need a case.

When you first spot the ducks headed your way hit 'em with a good ringing highball (Make dang sure you got your RNT MVP Acrylic handy). As they close in, work it down to a nice greeting call with your DC triple threat, and finish 'em with a machine gun feed chuckle.

When they hit the water, empty your Benelli slap center of the biggest raft you see.

Post pics on THF. Repeat.

That's how I do it...

Anywhere you can set up a cannon fired net to trap as many with one shot as possible.
