Ok, its been about 7 or 8 years since I last duck hunted but I have never heard of this. Is it a new law I missed?

Those tags are needed when going to the taxidermist. For personal posession, not needed. I am a bird taxi and cant have a bird that isn't tagged like what you have shown.

You have to have your birds seperated in the boat from other hunters, found that out last year on Palestine. As far as for driving with them in your truck if you have a wildlife transfer document you do not need the tag. Didn;t know for me to take one to taxi I would need one though. Guess my taxi better have an extra.

I run the same type of tag on my customers birds, then zip tie all 6 birds together with one tag

This^^^

We tag all birds from our hunters. Not individually, but however many birds they are taking or shot, they need to be tagged. Especially for transportation purposes and it's good for our records as well.

All federal birds must be tagged and held separately DURING and after harvest. Legally can get busted- even if under 1 man limit for 2+ guns, if possessing someone else's harvest. That is the law

Tagged in transport- not during hunt
