Got three today

Got three gadwalls today on public. Had one come in right at legal and I let him swim hoping he would bring some others close. Well as soon as he figured out the others were not real he swam to the other side to far for a shot. The next two came in and I didn't hesitate two dead ducks. The last one was swimming south of me so I called on my double nasty and the bird turned and swam away. I picked up my whistle and made the widgen call and teal call and he turned back towards me. Another hunter 200 yds or more south of me shot and spooked the duck my way some more and as soon as he was close enough to tell the decoys were not real he started to turn so I shot him. He took off flying and I shot him again. He still managed to fly south aways so I went looking for him. Found him under a brush pile on the bank. A good morning for me except my waders got a leak in the right boot. A little cold on the foot but at least it did not go up the leg.
