Tri-Star shotguns

Who's using them? I have a Viper G2 and it has yet to fail. Why are more guys not shooting these? Great value and so far it has been a fantastic duck gun.

I've never heard of them, but I have a Stoeger that I love and they are about the same price point. I've never had any issues with mine. You can for sure find some quality shotguns at that price point, even semi-auto.

I have one Jacob and have shot about 500 shells through it and it has nexer failed me. Love the gun and like you said it is a great value. They make them in left hand which is how I shoot. That is why I tried it this year. Love it as much as I did my Benelli M2.

Friend bought one. 3 FTE's in one round of skeet.

I'm sure they are like any other imported cheap semi-auto... about 85% of them are fine and work very well, but there's more than a few that need tuning right out of the box. I have a good friend who bought a viper G2 and it was a single shot (FTE) with any low brass shells and never would feed the third high brass shell. He sent it back twice and finally got it worked out- but waited almost year in the process. To me, it felt very cheap and not very well put together... but they do work after they get tuned up properly.

You have to shoot hi brass through them for the first 75 shots I believe to get the spring loosened up. I love the way mine feels with the rubberized texture too.

They are probably good guns but when my grandkids get my shotguns after I'm gone I like to picture them holding my Brownings.

I bought one as a loaner, put two 10 round boxes of B&P through it and it never malfunctioned. Of course these B&P's have a kick like a 3" mag and they are 2 3/4" #7 1/2. Never had a dove load kick like these

Old roommate had a Viper G2, worked well until it malfunctioned and became full auto. Kinda cool but not real helpful killing ducks. She sent it back to Tristar and they had it back to her in 10 days. It's been good to go since. I bought my wife a Raptor a year ago and other than being a pain in the @$$ to get the charging handle off and then reassemble, it's been flawless for her and my son that uses it.

*Note - wife knows former female roommate..... I know you guys would be all over that one.

When I got mine the first thing I did before a shell ever was fired was break it down and cleaned it completely and then sprayed it down lightly with Teflon spray. I do that with every new shotgun I have ever bought. ThenI followed the break in instructions and fired 20 high brass shells thru it. Works like a champ.

I have over 1000 shells through my Viper G2 Silver with zero malfunctions. And it shoots very soft too.
