Teaching Rowdy to Hunt Cont

Another week of hunting with Rowdy has been fun. We have not had many birds, but that has left time for in-the-field training and some good photo opportunities. I cannot imagine hunting without a dog anymore. By the way, Rowdy is living proof that the average hunter can train and teach a dog to hunt with a little help. I have had a lot of support from Soaring Hearts Kennels who took the approach of teaching/training both the dog and owner. I have as much fun training as hunting these days. Everything is a teachable moment for both dog and hunter.

Very nice!! I gotta get a pup this year. I spend a lot of time hunting alone & it'd be awesome to always have a hunting buddy when my boy's in school
