Still painting on redheads I carved late this summer, got a few done this week. A gunning drake, light and dark hen, bottle topper.

Do you sell those at craft fairs or just for personal use? Must take quite a while and require meticulous skill.

TurkeyHunter, I sell a few every year to help defray costs of all the tools and materials, not a lot of them though. There are a minimum of 20 hrs in the simplest birds, often more-- I don't want to do it as a full time job or whip them out factory style so I work on each bird as something to last in my rig for hopefully decades.
