Teaching Rowdy Boy to Hunt (Heavy Pic) - 11/23/14 08:24 PM

This year is unique as we are having above average action and I am teaching a new hunting partner how to hunt. Rowdy Boy is now 16 months old and this is his first full season beginning with dove season back in September. Rowdy Boy spent the later half of the summer at Soaring Hearts Kennels where he and I learned to train and prepare for a new chapter in our hunting lives. He is doing great with steady and improves his marking skills with each hunt. This weekend I was able to consistently watch him follow birds as we worked them and then focus on marks. I have taught my sons to hunt and now I am enjoying hunting with my sons and teaching Rowdy Boy to hunt as well.

We will keep you posted on his progress this season.

I recommend having a retriever for all bird hunters.
