Pelletized Lime vs. Liquid Lime?

Pelletized Lime vs. Liquid Lime? - 10/01/23 11:24 PM

I've been applying some pelletized lime to a half-acre plot of sandy loam each year. It would sure be easier to spray liquid rather than dealing with 40 lb. sacks of pelletized lime.

Does anyone have experience with the liquid stuff out there? Effectiveness? Cost comparison?

I use Plot Start and I apply after the seed is in the ground (so it is the final step) I spray either same day or next day. Last year, my soil came back with a 5.2PH and had a great looking plot (much better than the previous year) I plan to use Plot Start again this year. I will also send my soil back to the lab in April/May 2024 for another analysis.
***In addition to Plot Start, I also throw Crimson Clover seeds out to add N to the soil (and feed wildlife along the way) but adding N to the soil is #1 priority for throwing out clover seed
