BEST DEER FEED FOR THE BUCK

hi - I was wondering what y'all think is the best deer feed for the buck that comes in 50 pound sacks. i own high fence ranch and usually buy about 300-400 50lb bags at a time... I don't like feed bins because we have a ton of rain in Louisiana and it gets mold easily. currently I am using rak-atak and paying roughly 10 a bag for 50lbs... thx Scott

Though you say best bang for the buck, do you mean most weight in feed for less money, or best nutrients in the feed for your $

good questions... id say best nutrients in the feed for the $. or what would be the best feed if money was no object and you wanted the healthiest deer with the biggest racks that you plan to eat... thx!

I would say the best thing for them is the natural stuff made by God....but if you are looking for something man made that is "best", I don't think you can go wrong with Antlermax. Little more expensive than what you are feeding, but might be able to get a bulk discount buying as much as you do...that would be nearly 10 pallets of feed so you might be able to get it down to 10/bag price.

A local feed store or mill may have some good protein you could get in bulk orders for cheaper as well. 10 pallets is a decent order. most of the protein feeds are similar. not all made the same but similar.

Antler Max with climate guard kept ours pounding the feeders even when it was super hot out.

We feed Lyssy & Eckel because they make a fantastic product and deliver bulk to the ranch. If I had to buy bagged protein, I'd go with the AntlerMax.

I started feeding antlermax a couple of years ago. I have been very happy with the results for my area. I'm low fenced and it sure keeps the deer coming. I feed it year around.

Cheerios honey bunches of oats works well for me.

I have always had good luck with a corn/roasted soybean mix.
