Corn pricing for the up coming season

Corn pricing for the up coming season - 04/19/17 04:00 AM

It's that time of year when my coop goes to market for next season's corn supply of about 300 tons in 50lb bags. In years past I could come pretty close by taking the bushel price and adding about $1.25 for cleaning and the bag. That would put this years price at $4.93 cost and 5.18 to the members before freight and $6.10 retail. What's you all's thoughts?

I'm hearing the subsidies for ethanol could be going away or greatly diminished. This could drive corn prices way down.

50 lbs sacks at the feed store we use are 6$ a bag out the door.
