Sow Down!

Sow Down! - 05/17/18 06:00 PM

Was sitting around reading late last night when I heard some noises that sounded remarkably like pigs grunting, so I eased out on the front porch and discovered this young lady snarfing up deer feeder corn and grunting merrily. Grabbed my 25-45 Sharps, loaded with Hog Hammers, and went out the back door to do sneak on her. She was moving out by the time I got to the edge of the house, so I took a running shot and took her down. Bad shot placement, but it must have hit something vital on the pass-through because she didn't run 5 yards before collapsing. She wiggled around a little bit, and just as I was about ready to gift her with another Hammer, she gave it up. One more down; hundreds of thousands to go. . .

Pig_Popper, I shot her last night; took her pic this morning, but couldn't get her to relax for the photo op. smirk

Bar-D, what loads are you shooting out of your Sharps? Just like you, my son and I love that little rifle. We've used it on all types of critters and have been really pleased with its performance.
