I wouldn’t trust anything that guy says as he is using ATN

I noticed he was shooting open sights in first part. I also prefer open sights to ATN.....

That was very disappointing. I see no correlation between milk filled soda bottles and hogs. I have yet to see a .223 that wouldn't penetrate the "plate" on a hog just fine, though I don't doubt varmint grenades my have some trouble. I never did with FMJ, Green Tip, or Barnes.

I have killed many hogs with .223, but I have no doubt a 308 might be a better option. It is sort of like the guys that kill elk with 243's and some need 338's...both work, so it's sort of which one you prefer. There are no "rule of thumb" type rules to go by so just use whatever you prefer and works for you.
That video is not much of anything as far as a comparison of calibers !

Not many hogs packed with tannerite.

I also like the way he shot the side of the bottle with the 223 and center mass with the 308.

Sure a 308 is a more powerful bullet, but his test proved nothing.

That was 2:37 seconds of my life wasted... Bigger hammers always win.

If you can't kill a hog with a .223, the problem is the nut behind the stock...

.22 lr will kill a hog, lots of folks use the .22 magnum or .17 HMR too.

I've killed, or seen killed about the same number of hogs with the .223 and the .300 BLK (as well as bigger rounds like the .243, .270 and .30-06). I've recovered more shot with the .300 blk. The ones hit with the .223 don't go very far, but even 50-100 yards is tough to find in the dark with little to no blood trail.

I killed one with my .40 S+W Glock, didn't find him till the next day either. Actually heard him thrashing around in a thicket about 25 yards away, pretty sure that was as he was dying, but I didn't really feel like crawling in there looking for him.

So while I agree .223 will kill hogs just fine with the right bullet, something bigger will allow you to recover more hogs.

Also don't trust someone dumb enough to not leave milk in the jug. Unless a milk jug is too thick for a .223

Come on, you know that isn't the case and if it was, would that not make his point better than miss-shooting the bottle?

Worthless video. I use a .257 AirForce Condor that produces all of 185fpe at the muzzle. Never had any of the pigs I've killed complain? What good is a .223 or .308 if you can't hit a paper plate at 300'.
