Hunting a creek bottom where I killed a sow last weekend, I cam upon lots of tracks heading north, which was perfect because the wind was out of the north. I followed along for about a half hour, crossed the creek and made my way into a thick wood lot. About 30 step in, a sow stood up and little piglets were running everywhere, I popped the sow a couple of times and got a piglet too, but in the excitement, I was kinda spraying and praying, LOL. There were lots of other hogs in the bunch and they didn't go far, I shot 2 more that were about 30 yards away, looking at me. I missed a couple that hauled butt through the woods and then was out of ammo. I don't know why, but that day, i was only caring 1, thirty round mag, loaded with 62 grain ball ammo with tracers thrown in every 3rd round, for the heck of it. I could have killed several more with some fire discipline, or another mag of ammo.
