I haven't posted in here in a while, I thought it was about time.
I've been working on this design for the last few weeks; I designed especially for the pig hunter made to get bloody.
It's 52100 ball bearing steel 3/16ths thick 60 H.C. blued to help in rust prevention. OAL is 13 inches, tip to brass guard is 8". I wanted a handle that was not going to be slippery, so I made the burlap micarta handle myself. The guard is big enough to prevent hand from slipping on to the blade. The sheath is thick 12oz oil tanned water buffalo. It should make one heck of a pig killing machine.

blood will turn the blue to rust real quick

It hasn't turned any of mine to rust. Maybe if you leave it for days with out at least washing it off. I've sold hundreds with no complaints.

Wow! I really like it. You asvouly put a great deal of thought into this piece and it shows. I love the handle. I think the burlap was great idea to help prevent slippage. Have you had a chance to use it yet? Does the handle help?

I used it recently. It works as advertised. Took no effort other than steering the blade the right angle.
