When I first started making knives I started with a 1" Delta belt sander from Lowes. I ground a bunch of knives out with that sander before saving my pennies and getting a decent grinder. This particular blade is the last of the original knives I made using that old wood sander. The only reason I still have it is because I messed up the profile and tossed the blade into the scrap pile. Fast forward 8 years and while digging through the scrap looking for something else, I stumbled across this old blade. So, I dug it out, re-profiled it and mailed it out to heat treat. Since it is the last of my "first" blades I think I'm going to keep it. I ground it to an almost zero edge before heat treat so this little bugger is hair popping sharp. It should be a good user knife.
