Texas Knifemakers' Guild - 01/12/16 12:44 AM
The Texas Knifemakers' Guild is taking membership applications for the 2016 membership year. We've got three levels of membership: General, Associate/Supplier, and Lone Star Knifemaker.
The General Membership category is open to anyone who will sign the membership agreement, including knife collectors, knifemakers from other states, beginning knife makers, those makers whose primary interest is assembling kit knives. Dues are $30 per year.
The Associate Sponsor category is open to dealers and suppliers of knifemaking supplies. Members in this category are expected to conduct business with knifemakers in Texas, and may be called upon to support TKG events or offer discounts to TKG members. Dues are $50 per year
Lone Star Knifemakers will submit three knives for inspection by a member of the board. Knives must be hand made, meaning at a minimum that the maker personally ground and polished the blade and installed the handle. Lone Star Knifemaker membership is available to Texas residents only. Dues are $50 per year. $30 is due upon initial application, with the remaining $20 due following knife inspection.
Many of you may already be members of the Texas Knifemakers' Guild facebook group, which is the most consistent source of information at this point. Anyone who's interested who's not on Facebook, feel free to send me an email, frycustomknives@gmail.com and I can get you the membership forms or more information.
Thanks!
