I drew Gene Howe up in the panhandle along the Canadian River. Never been there. Hope its good. Congrats on Caddo and Mayse!

Yes I am. Kerr is actually before spring season, on March 28-30. San Angelo is on April 7-9, which is over a weekend. So I have to burn a few days of vacation.

First year I've applied and didn't expect anything. I applied for five permits for my son or me. Not selected on two and pending 2nd draw on three. Congrats to those that were drawn and better luck next year to everyone else.

Thanks. I live 45 mins from the wildlife area. I plan on making several scouting trips. Do they break it down into sections for each person to hunt like the deer hunts?

Yes and you get to pick your unit in the order drawn, with standbys picking last going last.

My dad and I drew James Daughtrey, first time to hunt there. Looking forward to the adventure. Any suggestions for success are welcome.
Good luck to everyone on their turkey hunt draws! I've hunted Gene Howe years ago. Long way for me, but worth it.
