Drawn for San Angelo SP hunt

So I got lucky and was drawn for a gun deer hunt, either sex at San Angelo state park. Anyone done this before? How was the experience? I've hunted around San Angelo all my life, this is my first drawn hunt. Any experience at San Angelo SP?

Been several years, but always saw deer on their hunts. Pat used to put on a good hunt (don't know if he is still there). If he is, ask about the guy who got his deer taken by mistake.

they used to have a bunch of stands set out, but with the cutback in hunter numbers, I don't know what they will have. Hunted several areas, and they were all good.

Thanks for the info. I haven't been by to talk to anyone there yet but hope to go by soon. I'm excited to go. I have family who live on the other side (city side) of oc fisher and they are always seeing deer on the soccer fields..
