Primary Arms slx md 25 or slx micro prism.

Thinking about putting one of these on a Rossi 92. Any of you guys any experience with either sight?

I run several of the micro prisms. They’re great optics especially for the price.

Thanks for the reply. I noticed the slx md 25 was on sale for $99 if you backorder it. All accounts I can find, seems to be a good sight.

The MD 25 is a red dot. I have the MD 20 on an AR pistol and it works fine. I have a 3x Micro Prism on an AR Carbine and like the a lot. I think you’ll need the red dot. The prism optics have shorter eye relief than typical scopes and may not work. I have several PA optics and they have all worked great. You might consider the md20 if the 25 isn’t in stock.

I agree, I’ll need the red dot due mostly to eye relief.

I’d rather red dot as well and I can’t remember the model but if it’s the micro red dot that looks like the Aimpoint T1 then they’re good to go as well 50k hours of battery life probably not bomb proof like the T1 but a fraction of the cost and just works.

I say I’d rather the red dot but I have an astigmatism and they look like a star burst to me instead of a defined dot. I still run the Holosun 407’s and 507’s on my carry gun, bedside gun, and CZ scorpion just for the form factor, but the prisms look clean and crisp to my eye unlike the red dot. But I can still get the job done with a red dot no problem.

I worked at Primary Arms several years ago and have more than 5 of their optics (scopes and red dots). Their optics will do what they say they will do and the lifetime warranty makes it a no-brainer when it comes to a price competitive optic. I have one of their older 4-14x44 R-Grid scopes on my DPMS 6.5 Creedmoor. The first time I took that rifle out to a long distance range (800 yards) I used my Kestrel 5700 Elite Weather Meter with Applied Ballistics, Range finder and linked it with StreLok Pro. I started at the 200 yard target and made single shot hits at every incremental 100 yard steel target out to 800 yards with just holdovers. Before then I had only shot out to 400 yard targets with my hunting rifles. After I hit the 800 yard target I decided it was good enough for me and I packed it up and went home. All the targets at their respective yardage were 1 MOA target size (1.05 per 100 yards).
