Armasight Zeus Thermal Warranty?

Armasight Zeus Thermal Warranty? - 05/28/18 07:19 PM

Are any members familiar with armasights warranty process? I bought my thermal 12/16. It is a Zeus 3-24/75. I have been having clarity issues for the last 6 months or so. The scope also lost zero. This weekend, it looked as if the humidity was dogging the lense. I then finally saw what my issue was. The front lens on the scope is completely loose. It can spin 360 degrees as well as tilt in any direction it is pushed in. I can not seem to find another person who has had this issue on the net anywhere. Have any of y’all experienced this? Have any members ever used armasight for any warranty claims? What is the process like? Is it like Leupold where the scope is gone for months?

Any insight is greatly appreciated!

Armasight is no longer a company per se. They are owned by FLIR. Contact FLIR.

At this point, it does not matter what the process is like. You need to stop procrastinating! It isn't like you can get it fixed just anywhere.

I agree with DNS, get the ball rolling. No need to procrastinate. Contact FLIR customer service and let them know what's happening. I don't expect you to be without the scope for months but I know it can be a process at times getting the RMA # and everything in their system so you can actually send it to them. You've just got to remember that they are a Fortune 500 company and their hunting optics division is a tiny portion of their business. That's no excuse for anything less than stellar customer service, I'm just making the point, they will take care of you but sometimes it takes some leg work to get the ball rolling. Good luck!

And sometimes the ball rolls very slowly on their end.

I have a friend that just went trough the process. Getting it in wasn't so bad, but it took at least a month to get it back. Customer service isn't their thing.

It does not appear to be their thing. You are correct!!

I am currently at the end of week#2 on trying to get a stupid battery cassette replacement. I wrote them on the 16th of May and described my problem (need a replacement battery cassette as mine broke) and included my unit serial number. In the manual, the part is called a 'battery cassette.' With my serial #, they should know exactly what part I need. I got an automated reply back with a case number. On May 25, a purported real person with a Russian-sounding name (Lana Legkaya) wrote me, apologizing for the delay, and asked for the part number of the part I needed (luckily, I still had the original manual) and to also provide my address and phone number so that they could help me arrange my order. My reply was before 10:00 am CST on May 25 with all the correct information. I have received no more emails, no phone call, or had any indication that they might be shipping me a part. I don't know what is going on with my order.

With Armasight, you could call up and get a real person, usually a guy named Andrew. He did not survive the transition to FLIR for some reason. That is a shame.

Today is the 30th. I am listening to crickets.

If you continue have trouble let me know. I've got some inside sources there that can get stuff seen about a little quicker.
