LRHS low light use...

LRHS low light use... - 01/03/18 02:36 PM

So, this has come up a bunch, and I get it, the concern for a FFP hunting scope not having an illumintated reticle. My experience and another buddy who has tested a lot of scopes is that we both trust this scope deer hunting and going after our deer. I killed this management buck on Friday, right at last possible legal shooting time on a cloudy evening, 200 yards out. Deer was quartering away hard and I could barely see it, but I was able to put one where I wanted and it ran 20 yards max.

Is that the 3-12 or 4.5-18 ?

Nice buck coker. What power was your scope set on to make that shot? I'm really liking my LRHS in 3-12x

it is the 3-12, probably around 10x, backed off from max to get a little brighter image. I could not see the exact center of the crosshair, but I could triangulate so to speak with the dark bold reticle and center punched the shoulder, better to lose a few pounds of meat than the whole deer. It is VERY thick and hard to find a deer if they get off in the thick stuff.. 7mm08 and 140 Accubond.
