curious as to why burris go to 34mm scope tube?

Cuz 30mm rings would be too tight?

Gives more room for turret internals. And the bigger the tube, the stronger the tube.

"It says you are serious without having to uttering a word" per the website. Like driving a Superduty to the country club.

Everyone wants to shoot LR now so market is making scopes that have the adjustment in them to do so.

Larger scope tubes simply allow for more internal travel and adjustment for dialing and corrections. It also allows for larger and stronger parts to hold the reticle and internals better.
