Torque lbs

What do y'all usually torque screws on a scope base and rings??

Varies with the specific equipment. Check with the manufacturer for specific recommended values.

It's dnz mounts it says 25 lbs for ring screws only. Doesn't say for the bases. I did 20 lbs that's what the wheeler torque wrench says

The ones I have (Burris PEPR, and Badger) it's 65 inch pounds for bases (all have the 1/2" ish cross bolts).

"We go 30 inch pounds on our steel receiver guns we buy and 18 inch pounds on our Aluminum receiver guns we buy using our screws. Our base screws are longer than most others."

Based on the note above, feel inside in the lug/bolt areas to make sure the screws are not protruding through and making contact with the bolt or lugs.

I generally torque the base screws to 30 pounds and about the same for the ring screws as well. Maybe Im overdoing it, but I don't want any slippage.

I use what the manufacturer suggests which is usually in the 20-25 inch pound range.
