Waiting for my new rangefinder!

I hate waiting...ordered a Vortex Ranger 1000 on Sunday night, should be here today. Cant wait to use it this weekend, anybody have one?

Got it yesterday, a lot smaller than I thought. Seems very well built. Came with a battery.. took it out in the dark and ranged my neighbors cat, 45 yrds...coulda got it with my crossbow no prob...anyway, gonna use the hell out of it this weekend so I will post a little review when I get back...

Well, so far so good. I have verified its accuracy with known distances, or verified my known distances with the range finder, ha. It doesnt work well through a windshield, esp if dirty or wet. (duh) It has very clear glass, I find myself using it as a spotter rather than my binocs since it is so small and light weight. I have ranged deer up to 300 yrds so far, and my longest range period was a feeder 700 yds away. But damn it is hard to hold still, prob need a stick or something. it is threaded on the bottom for a mount. Anyway, 5 stars so far.

Sounds good, was looking at one of them as well.
