Best power binoculars?

Best power binoculars? - 12/26/15 11:11 PM

Looking at getting some new binoculars. What is the optimal power/size? I've been carrying 10x42. Debating between another pair of those or going to 12x50. Any recommendations?

BTW - looking at Vortex, or maybe Leupold. Vortex seems to have pretty good reviews. confused2

I have 8s and I have 10s. I swear there are more times I wish I had less than more.

So Cabela's has Vortex Diamondback 10x42 binoculars on sale for $150. Seems like a good deal.

Question - are these binoculars just "good for the money" or are the really good?

I just paid $200 for the Bushnell, that has better glass, and higher reviews. I have NOT been impressed with any Vortex products I have encountered.

No bigger than 10 anything

Get the best glass you can afford

Watch the weight on some.

I got a pair of these this year and like them a lot.. I keep them on a harness and small enough that I can walk around or shoot my bow with them on no problem.
