Yes, it was a Weaver 1-3. I love the open sights of a lever gun. But for this rifle I used it for night hunting pigs from a bow stand about 25-30 yards away from the feeder. I mounted a simple light to the scope so I could see for hunting at night. It worked great. I also took a turkey from 260 yards with my Marlin lever gun. First round hit at turkeys feet, then I adjusted up, and second shot dropped the walking turkey from 260 yards. Held the elevation and gave a little lead. I had shot this gun at 200 and 300 yards previously, and knew my holds for those distances. I drove up to my brothers feeder, and there were 2 dozen turkeys. I shot this bird from the hood of the truck. One of the coolest shots.
