CA ammunition bans- This is happening!

I'm a little shocked at how detailed things are happening there.

Senate Bill 1235 – Ammunition

(1) Commencing January 1, 2018, generally prohibits private ammunition sales,
requiring people to use an ammunition vendor licensed by the DOJ to complete a
transaction, unless the transaction involves 50 rounds or less in a month and is
between: (a) licensed hunters while hunting; or (b) immediate family members;

(2) Commencing January 1, 2018, bans the direct mail-order sale of all ammunition,
meaning no more having ammunition shipped to you;

(3) Commencing July 1, 2019, prohibits residents, except for certain special ones, from
bringing any ammunition from out-of-state into California;

(4) Commencing July 1, 2019, generally prohibits the purchase of ammunition by
anyone, except for special people, unless authorized by the DOJ to do so;

(5) Commencing July 1, 2019, requires ammunition vendors to record personal
information about the ammunition purchaser and what ammunition is purchased, and to
submit the information to the DOJ, which must retain the information for 2 years in a
database to be known as the Ammunition Purchase Records File.

(6) Requires DOJ to create and maintain another database of qualified ammunition
purchasers and vendors.

They didn't address components?

No, it didn't. I didn't see that either.

Tyranny.

I hope the people there appeal it to the Supreme Court. That sucks and I'm afraid it will soread in the future under another democratpresident.

So you can only allow your minor child to shoot 50 rounds a month. They do not want kids to grow up enjoying the shooting sports.

Bear in mind that the NRA is (rightly) waiting for new SCOTUS appointments before challenging the California laws.

We can't relax though as a lot of them are moving here and are bringing along with them their voting habbits that are bankrupting California.

Yes,indeed. Liberal Californians are moving here in huge waves, and bringing their way of thinking. Like locusts in a field, they destroyed their state so now they move on to the next one. The same thing will eventually happen here by sheer numbers dominating the vote.

When I grew up there, California was gun friendly. Heck we had a gun club in high school, you just had to leave your gun in your car until after school. Until 1967, open carry of both handguns and long guns was legal - and friendly Sheriff's were issuing CCL's to those who needed them. Even after the law changed, it was not enforced in rural communities.

This is about the best I have heard it described. They are like a Biblical plague.

they're crazy, they can't even enforce the ones they have now

the MS13 and other gangs there have no problem getting ammunition

they can't put them all in prison cause of overcrowding

seems these laws only effective towards white collar upper middle class citizens
