Dickens County Buck

Just now getting around to posting pics. I shot this buck opening weekend. I shot him real early but didn't realize he had broke off his main beam on one side. I could tell it was him through the scope based on his brows, should of waited a little while to see better lol. I had this deer on camera religiously and had told myself I would take him because I hadn't seen anything any better and he was mature. My son was with me and he urged me to pull the trigger as well. He was a big bodied boy, main frame 8 with small kicker that was partially broke too. Taken in Dickens county

I have one just like him this season. Only had one opportunity during bow season and he knew something was up. Next trip he had already broken his left main beam just before the g3 and I have seen him almost every hunt. He was actually under the feeder when I shot my buck for this season. He is still a regular

I wouldn't regret shooting that buck for a second. You made the right decision.
