Bucks fighting in S TX already

Buddy is hunting now and last evening hunt he saw two bucks fighting in the middle of the sendero, from his story he said it wasn't a play fight, one was driven into the ground then flipped over and chased out of town. I've seen bucks trying to kill each other but never this early. O' and my buddy is not one to tell a fairy tail anyone else I would have just said yeah OK.
