Today's buck Taylor County

He was limping pretty bad

He was not a real big bodied deer but it was the right thing for me to do

His injury would not have healed

There was part of the bone exposed

I took him with one well placed shot from my Savage 243 with a load that I developed

You probably did the right thing...But, I have a Doe on here that broke her leg 3 years ago, she's still gets around and runs just fine. Her leg is bent at a weird angle though. Have also seen 3 legged deer that got along just fine. It's amazing what deer can live through.
