Do you guys think this buck will grow into a better rack in the future or just keep getting bigger looking like this? I don't think he hits 13 inches this year anyway but I am curious to hear what everyone has to say about him. Cool deer or cull deer? Sorry for the less than perfect pics, he only hits this one feeder.

Too young unless you have a bunch of big deer in that age class.

I'd leave him alone.

He would get culled on are place just the fact most of our 3yr olds are 10's and we don't want 3yr old 8's. like stated above depends on if you have bigger deer in this age group.

You’ll never regret waiting one more year.

Cull at our place. Rack is going forward and not back like it is supposed to. Never going to be anything great.

I would shoot him. Don't like "crab claws" and it is a prevalent trait at our place.

He would be on the cull list at my place.

Might be a cull in the future but I don’t think that deer is any older than 2.5 Yo. I’d give him another year then decide.

Let him go one more year. By the looks of the pics he seems young (2yrs).

Culls NEVER need more time, once you determine a deer to be a cull ..... shoot on sight, there is no logical reasoning for waiting. Make a decision, just how we roll

The terms aren't always mutually exclusive.

Looks mature to me on second pic. He would be on our hit list, proudly.

Deer looks 2.5 yo to me, 3.5 at best. I'd wait at least one more year, but I don't have the privilege of having a ton of bucks to get rid of ones like that before they are a little more mature.

Thanks for the continuing input guys. I've been waiting to see him again to make a better judgement. Been Mia since the fifth. Creek runner, I agree!!!

Waiting till a buck is mature to determine if he is a cull or not defeats the purpose of culling doesn't it?

He sure looks older than 2 to me. Will he get bigger more mass etc. sure, but he is probably never going to be what your dreams are made of. If you have more deer of a similar age that are better I would shoot him. If he is average then leave him.
