Rut is probably winding down. It was in full force last week of bow season into opening week of rifle season.
Late season ruts are fun!!

if that's the case, it should fire up again for any unbred does about 28 days later than the first showing (late Oct./early Nov.) ... around late Nov. to early Dec.

It's all but over. Bucks were returning to the feeders this past weekend and ignoring the Does that came around.

Was 8 miles north of Blackwell this weekend. Rut was just kicking in. nov 14-21 is usually the peak on our property.
Saw young bucks chasing does that weren’t quite ready and mature bucks were paired up with does. Had one buck that wouldn’t leave the doe he was tending 40 yards from truck. Buddy got out of truck walked to rear door of cab, opened door, pulled out rifle and shot him DRT. Buck just stood there looking at the doe the whole time.
