All 3 deer left but a beautiful grey fox is now eating corn. He gets a pass

Yep. High fence blind. Very creative, huh? Have a nubber and a young 8pt walking other side of fence right now. Lots of activity on our side too. This spot has turned out to be the shizzle.

Warm, Deerhunter61. Thanks. Back in the saddle since 1430. A nubber just walked out to the corn pile. Shoot, now he's gone. Wind is out of the south now. This could blow the evening hunt. Darnit.

My nephew just texted me. He had an 8pt stare at him when he got to his stand. Walked casually away

Not nearly the action this evening, so far, anyhoo. This morning was one of the most exciting hunts I've ever been on. We shall see. Blue moon is cold and scrumptious.

Back in the saddle again. Spooked a doe coming in, and a few minutes ago as I was moving around, looked at another doe staring at me. She walked away. The wind isn't right. Bummer.

Windows are shut. Slow start compared to the last 3 days. We shall see.

Keep us posted? I don't go out again until Nov. 17, the wait is making me kind of crazy.

Wow, what a difference one day makes. Sloowwww. Have 3 gobblers under the stand. Was thinking about shooting one but it's so peaceful out, not wanting to disturb nature. I'll save them for spring.

The wind is out of the southeast. Not good. Its blowing my scent in the direction of the deer sanctuary. Didnt have time this morning for total evacuation. Theres a green, fowl smelling fog emanating from the blind. Not helpful.

What is the foul smelling fog?

Let's just say it ain't roses.

This stand is hotter than a two peckered dog, when the wind is from the north. Now not so much. Gonna have to switch stands this evening and hunt the oats on the big field.

This is a lesson in futility. Headed back to camp to see how much is left of the house that isnt chewed up by the pup. Adios for now, Amigos. And happy hunting.
