I’ve had more success using pre orbital gland scent on a low hanging limb and then just scraping the ground up under it. Deer are attracted to fresh turned dirt and the pre orbital is what deer put on the limb to mark it.

I used one last year and it seemed to work pretty good. I hung it up about 5 ft up and used a hoe to churn up the dirt. About a week after I put it up on a tree line i had multiple other scrapes show up within 50 yards of it. Including one right next to it. Most of the bucks making them were pretty young though.

made some mock scrapes this weekend to see what would happen. used jackies orbital gland lure and conquest sents Vs-1 estrus stick. had activity in the three i did the next morning. branches twisted up and scrapes and hoof marks in each. set up my new apeman camera on one and will post the results in 2 weeks.
