I have 10 arces north of hondo . This place is heavy wooded and rocky . Went there last year to visit and saw tracks and scrapes on a small tree . Has anyone hunted this area ? Was thinking about bow hunting there this upcoming deer season .

Hell, if I had 10 acres ANYWHERE, I'd bow hunt on it!
There is no shortage of deer there. Good luck.

North of Hondo is a broad area.
Could be good could be bad.

Only concern I see is if you stick a deer and it runs off and doesn't go down inside your ten acres, are the neighbors cool with you crossing into their property to retrieve the deer?
I've bowhunted on land that size, and a wounded animal can and will jump into the neighbors property, even with a lethal shot.
Send me the key and coordinates, I'll go hunt it this weekend and let you know if it's worthwhile.
I was thinking the same thing about them running . Never seen any of the neighbors out there the past 10 years and there's no fences up . The area is still very country

That said, I bet someone is hunting it.
