Hunting should not be allowed in wildlife sanctuaries. There is no sport in killing animals that have been tamed by human contact.

It is so wrong to kill deer that have been hand fed & loved by children. It's supposed to be a wildlife refuge, not a wildlife free for all!

How in the hell do we justify this while at the same time cry 'foul' at the very words "Planned Parenthood". Sounds pretty screwed up to me. If life is precious then 'life is precious'. Animals do have worth as well and we could go on and on about the hypocrisy of having a hunt like this on a refuge in the first place but I guess it is in Texas but then again if it is sponsored by the Federal government then I object. Period. Let's find another way to waste the taxpayers' money.

I noticed the petition was closed. I guess they didn't want to hear just how wrong they were.
Correct me if I'm wrong... if someone has been hand feeding deer isn't that a violation of both State and Federal law?

I didn't know I could go to WMA and walk up to any old deer and pet them.
That ought to make hunting much easier.
Oops, maybe the lady has visited a petting zoo. She sure does know nothing about

They went about it the wrong way.
All the people that signed the petition should have signed up for a spot on the drawing list. If someone gets drawn show up and just don't hunt.
