Big VA 8 pt - 11/30/16 07:52 PM
Thought I'd share a few photos I took while visiting my buddy who also happens to be my taxidermist. I green scored the deer at 158 plus gross. That's a big 8 anywhere. It was a bow kill from Northern VA. Really impressive deer...love how the rack carries the mass and one heck of a frame. Just thought I'd share it with the rest of you deer addicts. BTW, I have a few more I will post.....one is a 181 typical 5x5
This photo is my taxidermists son holding the head. Like the kid that he is, he held it closer to the camera to make it look larger than it is...something he did not have to do.
this photo is my taxidermist holding the rack after it was caped. Mt buddy weighs around 230 and is about 5'10". I took the photo and told him explicitly not to hold the rack toward the camera.
