I got a very good friend who is Lakota Sioux and he keeps telling me to come hunt up there. I need to do some research to see what I need to do to hunt on the an Indian Reservation.

Outstanding Buck. Congratulations. I have been collecting Black Hills PPs for a diy public land mule deer hunt someday post retirement. So I really enjoy seeing posts like this.
Sniper John, Black hills tags used to be over the counter when I was stationed there, now it takes about two years to draw whitetail but the mule deer or "any deer" tags take about six. I had bought land in the hills about six years ago and will be retired g there as well at my 20 year mark, just two more years! I love all the game in SD as well as the fishing, and public land is plentiful, heck I am well over 50% with just knocking on doors and getting permission.
Here is the updated pic of the mount...just had time to get it knocked out this weekend. Sorry I can't figure out how to turn the pic
