Young County 8 pt is down

This guy has been a frequent visitor at my feeder, but I've been holding out for a bigger buck that has been on my game camera. Well this morning I decided to take him and I'm proud of him. Broadside at 65 yards with a Hornady and he only went 25 yards.

He wasn't chasing. He was pigging out under the feeder with a few doe. We have seen 3 bucks chasing doe

We've had 3 hunters out every weekend and seen a total of 3 nice bucks chasing. We did have some great bucks on cams before rifle season and we still have a very few smaller bucks coming into the feeder pens. All the big nice ones have gone nocturnal . We did see one huge buck in the middle of the day when no one had a gun handy. That's how it goes! Good luck DQ and to everyone!!!

Thank you! It's a 30-30 model 336. It's my most prized possession. It was a gift from my great uncle when I was a kid. It's the only rifle I've ever hunted with. It's taken it's fair share of game and never let me down!
