To shoot or Not to shoot.. guess age and score

My morning exercise (hunting) routine included a good shot at the big boy running around the ranch.

Can't watch youtube at work. Looks to be a mature buck for your region. I'd say 5.5

Can't say whether or not to shoot him as I know nothing about your place, sex ratios or deer density.

He would be dead on our lease. Great deer.

That's exactly the kind of buck I like. Unfortunately it seems our place has the high narrow racked kind of bucks. Great video!

3.5/4.5, IMO. I passed one like that last weekend because I couldn't determine his age in thicker grass than that.

My Tuesday morning exercise & hunting ritual of walking the ranch to check on the cattle and critters found everything in good order. No hogs to shoot but they will get theirs when the time comes.. Deer aren't moving much during the daylight with this really pleasant weather and the full moon lighting up the night. It is always great to see the big bucks making the rounds looking for doe. This buck might be the biggest on this ranch but there are certainly a couple I've yet to see. Later in the season around Christmas time the big boys come up out of the river bottom in search of the few remaining doe that haven't been bred yet. I'll be there if at all possible but don't look to shoot any deer except with my Canon.

Looks like a 3.5 year old. Beautiful buck. Carries mass well further out in his main beams. Good deer to pass on this year in hopes keeping his genes on the ranch. Hocks showing some staining. Enjoyed the video.
