East TX Food Plots?? - 11/11/16 05:27 PM
I grew up deer hunting in Missouri. Some of the most success I had bowhunting came from clearing a small (50 yd x 50 yd) area deep in the woods and planting a small honey hole food plot there. I'd lay the cut timber strategically so any deer that walked in had to present a broadside shot. I was thinking about trying something similar on a property in East Texas (Anderson County between Frankston and Palestine). Any idea what might work there? We typically did a mix of clover and turnips in the midwest. Appreciate any advice!
