Your favorite snacks when hunting

So what snacks will be in your bag when you leave out Saturday morning?

I'll have Ritz Peanut Butter Crackers, maybe a couple of unfrosted, blueberry pop tarts, and a small bottle of Mt. Dew.

An Orange, as I take my time peeling it, snuff and coffee..

Pop tarts and coffee in the AM.. jerky, cookies, and something cold to wash down in the afternoon.

I am there to hunt, not eat.

I usually don't take anything.

Coffee for the morning hunts, Goldfish, Granola Bars, and maybe some jerky if I have it on hand.

Laughed at my wife last night when she showed me her food list for the weekend.

Told her I'm there to hunt and don't care what she brings.

My dad used to pack me granola bars and an apple when I was a kid. Now I just take a few miller lites and make sure I've got enough snuff. I'll prolly pack a sandwich and chips if I'm staying, mixed nuts or something like that.

Coffee in the mornings every sit, and the food depends if it's going to be and all day sit or not.

If not an all day sit, Coffee and snuff is it for the morning and for the evening substitute the coffee for beer or water. If it is an all day sit, i'll grab a few double cheesburgers from Mcdonalds the night before. Everyone knows the "meat" wont go bad. Snacks could be anything from PB crackers, jerky, Little Debbie strawberry rolls, trail mix, pop tarts...etc. I don't have a single go-to snack for the stand.

Sausage balls... I'll make enough tonight to last me and the boss lady all weekend for Breakfast and snacks. They are the perfect deer camp food, hot or cold, morning noon or night... goes well with coffee, Mt Dew or Colorado cool aid

Coffee in the morning. Beef jerky and water in the afternoon. Although at the rate I'm going this week it might be cough drops and Kleenex.

Soda and chocolate cup cakes in the morning. Afternoon/evening I pack a full lunch and then eat a late dinner after the hunt. I stay until well after dark and hunt hogs, so that's why I pack a full lunch.

Dried sausage and diet dr pepper.

Bottle of water, bag of jerky, and a can of peaches. Maybe a can of pork and beans. That will get me thru till dinner

A link of Burton dry sausage, cheese and crackers, couple of orange gatorades and I can sit all day.

I keep a single serve packet of spam in my backpack.

In the morning I eat enough to fuel me before I go out. I'll usually do the same for the afternoon except some Miller Lights might tag along with me to the stand.

Powder doughnuts, Dr Pepper, and an apple or 2. I actually had to put an apple down to shoot my best deer one morning, so now its just a tradition.

Coffee and chocolate donuts in the morning (tradition also). Usually nothing in the evening. Maybe a beer or two(or a whiskey over ice). Always have water.

a bottle of water is about it for me, I eat before & after the stand ... I am guessing all these that take all these varieties of eats & treats & drinks are NOT the same ones that use all the no-scent products

Coffee and Pop-Tarts in morning, and granola bar, bag of mixed nuts or trail mix, and Gatorade in the afternoon. The Gatorade bottles work as latrines when nature calls. And when it is cold I keep the pop-tarts in my inside pocket so they stay a little bit warm.

I like trail mix/nuts and jerky, with a pinch of snuff. Coffee gets the spirits moving so I avoid it when in the stand. Don't want to make a dash out of the blind unexpectedly.

No Viena Sausages and crackers? I thought those were considered essentials for any southern survival kit.

It would be nice to have a nice enchilada plate with a side of carne guisada served to you piping hot in the blind, but that's just a pipe dream I have.

Coffee in the mornings and jerky, sunflower seeds and water on evening hunts for me. My kids tend to pack the pantry with them when they go.

jerky, trail mix & gushers (a habit left over from when I took my son when he was young)....oh, and snuff....in that order...

I have come to the quick conclusion that if a Texas deer can learn to detect the smell of snuff, he can die of old age.

Trail mix and jerky don't keep me filled up. I take a couple bologna sandwhiches, candy bars, cokes, water, and then maybe sunflower seeds or jerky.

Nothing unless one of my kids is with me.

beer. possibly a few bottles of water it there's room in the cooler.

Now if my kids are with me, we bring the entire pantry, plus ipads, dvd player, a dozen books, toys, and bb guns. If we do all that, I can keep them quiet for about 45 minutes before they turn into giggle bugs. They prefer road hunting.

Water eating is for the cabin at night. Cold beer and Jim Beam waiting there too.

Coffee, DP, beer. Don't eat while hunting.

Little Debbie's and Diet Cokes. Sometimes the little white powdered donuts. Sometimes a turkey sandwich, but always the Little Debbie's and Diet Cokes.

I have to laugh at the guys that get so serious about "I'm here to hunt, no food." I have snacks, an iPad with Kindle app, a Walkman, and my phone with Facebook, etc. sometimes I actually look out the windows and see if there are any deer. Meh. To each their own.

I lied. I heated up a breakfast sandwich and wrapped it in foil Sat morning. I ate it and shot a buck.

I recently noticed the Walmart in Crockett had a large stocking of cans of Spam in the Sporting Goods department.
