Is this deer legal?

I'm pretty positive he is but not 100% sure with that left antler being smaller than the right. If they were symmetrical I know he would be but with that left one I'm not sure. What do y'all think?

I'd say you need a more straight on view

I would hate to have to put it to the test, but I have measured the ear tip spread on a few of the mature deer we have shot and if memory serves me right 15-16 inches is what they were. That looks like a mature deer from that one picture. I still think you need a straighter on view to get a good idea though.

Those are the one's that will get you in trouble.
It's like they say, and "THEY" always seem to know everything so....."If you have to think about it, it's probably not legal."

One thing that makes me question is his ears are not in a normal position they are sticking straight out

I learned many years ago to never judge a deer running or looking away from me. Deer always look bigger running or looking away.

He is going to close, but I would guess yes. If you really still question it when you see him in person...... it is not a legal deer.

I bet he is barely legal but I wouldn't shoot it . I bet if you hold out you will get rewarded with a bigger buck. If in doubt don't shoot because majority of time you will find they appear much bigger while alive...
